Richard has always been in to sports and competitions, he started golf from 7 years old and loved it since. A graduate in Physical Education, Richard continued in the same field, teaching golf and cricket which he played at national level in the UK. As much as he loved to play sports, he also enjoyed being able to teach others the game and from that point he dedicated himself to learning to teach sports. He coached cricket for many years until he made the move to Singapore when he was offered to take a teaching course with KinderGolf Academy and spent 2 years learning the company’s methodology and eventually became their Swing U certified instructor. From then on, Richard had been teaching 2 to 10 year old golfers and his passion grew stronger. He then began teaching in schools such as United World College and EtonHouse, running after school golf programs and golf camps. He has taught at National Service Resort and Orchid Country Club and teaches all ages the game he loves.
‘’I aspire to make my students better golfers fundamentally and mentally. To help them understand the mechanics of their swing and the steps to integrate it into their own swing, becoming a better player. I, myself am still continuing to learn new skills of golf and I am fully committed to making lessons fun as well as producing great golfers."
